An Opening at Lyndsay McCandless Contemporary

The monster storm that was supposed to come yesterday, the same storm that threatened to have me trek on snow shoes to the end of the road to an awaiting cab in order to get to last night's opening, was mostly mess...bit of freezing rain, hour of snow and not much more. Whee! The opening was great, well attended and most importantly, the GNH message was soundly received.

This talk was a brief one, Kelzang and I presenting together. Thursday night though we have an informal discussion at the Teton County Library with no time restraint. Several people from the opening are planning on being there and I am eager to see how the discussion goes.
We in the west have much to learn from the example and vocabulary of this small Himalayan country that as yet is still deeply connected to its indigenous roots and has not been affected by all that has brought us to this critical juncture in our own history.
