Mamas, Aunties, Grandmamas AND THE COUSINS

Last weekend there was a gathering here of pure female power.  Throw a couple of beguiling four year old boys into the mix and you have a lot of ENERGY.
The cousins, 1 six year old girl, 1 five year old girl, 1 4 year old girl and the 2 boys met for the first time on Friday.  The two ensuing days included lots of camaraderie, a bit of competition and a tad of complaining but mostly the makings of a great memory.  I am hoping this was a tradition in the making as well.

Hanging around the house and moving on to the playground on the commons at the village made up the first day.  On the second day we defied the insistent rain and made our way up to the park for a picnic and chilly dip in the lake.  A stop at the Craig Thomas Visitors Center - a really great, first rate and highly entertaining spot for our kiddies - preceded the outdoors activities.  At one point I noticed the two older girls perched by one of the large windows that open to the massive Teton Range. I overheard M telling younger A " you can make a prayer to the mountains."  And then quietly and reverently that is what they did.  I think many of us who behold the magnificence of these mountains rising as they do above the flat river bottom feel moved to do the same.  The little girls did it for us, sincerely and beautifully.

Love! We had such a wonderful time - the kids keep talking about their cousins... and planning their next gathering.
