INCHING TOWARD WINTER


The cottonwoods, not the most beautiful trees in the land but briefly resplendent in the fall, have had their day.  A few aspens here and there are holding on admirably to their golds and reds.  Mostly though the leaves of fall are blanketing the ground and pond.
