Show time.

What a delightful festival! It takes place at Grand Targhee Resort, WY which is located on the "other side" of the Grand at about 8,000 ft. The scene when I arrived on Friday afternoon was all blue sky, tall dark evergreens and a touch of tie dye sixties in the sales stalls and on some of the bodies.
The people - many families - were happy and friendly. Folks were and the music was really rockin good music.

And In the Fair Building...

...a camouflage ballgown is a blue ribbon winner. Mary points out that the wearer will definitely by safe in drive by shootings.

Teton County Fair - Diaper Derby

A first for me!
Note on the last image this little guy was a slow starter, the race appears to be pretty much over.

Teton County Fair - Kid's Pet Show

The sheriff was the judge, the cow dog would not wear his boots and the ferret wore a saddle. Just life on the range.

Mary and The Ferret

Last week was the Teton County Fair. We went in for the children's pet show wherein there were two weasels, cats, all sizes of dogs and various animals and kiddies in costume INCLUDING two ferrets for the final division. Images will follow as will the ones of the diaper derby ( very dear, very funny ) .

At Phelps Lake...

.....from the site of the former Rockefeller summer compound. The property was given to the park about 4 years ago by Laurance Rockefeller. The lodge and cabins have been meticulously removed leaving the spot as well as the hike into it beautifully undisturbed.
