MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE

The wonders of the season be with you.  "Snow" falls in Singapore.

 Today's gift of snow that came in a silent WY night.

 The pond is covered in snow...ho!ho!ho!

The trees continue to suggest Japanese wood block prints to me...Wishing you wonder and beauty, warmth, happy surprises and love.

THIS WEEK 12 16 12

This week was full of so much beauty.  There were some wonderful walks.  At least one was brutally windy but also stimulating...in a way that dictated: you can walk into this. Finally winter is here as the following pictures will attest to.

And The Knitting Project has been busy.  The knitters of Jackson have adorned 1 faux but most appreciated moose in Wilson ( placed to warn drivers of the danger that speeding cars are to our moose population) and, today, they dressed the famous Bison by John Simms on Highway 390.

 And Christmas is very nearly here.

THIS WEEK 9 12 12

Finally, finally a good a beautiful snow.  Good and beautiful and a little dicey because of icy roads and blowing snow.  Luden dropped by in his truck and saved the day by giving a ride in his truck to the coffee shop.  See coffee shop photo for an idea of the white out.

Today...hmmm...indoor work, piano practice and Christmas shopping as the thermometer on my desk keeps insisting that the temp outside is 1 degree.

THIS WEEK ~ 2 12 12

  This week started with, as I practiced my Mendelssohn, the audience of an eagle a first to follow the moose, deer and ducks.

A walk with a dear friend visiting from CA added to the grace of Wednesday.  J. loves and misses Wyoming and truly savored the brilliant day and the snow.

And in this week~ a great gift of love and sisterhood that can happen in small towns like this: a gathering of the friends of a precious, beautiful and most talented friend who is now in Chicago fighting a serious battle for the return of her heath.  We met not as friends particularly known to one another but as friends known to this special woman. We met in her studio and together made art for her.  The evening ended in a circle - appropriate as we are the Circle of Love for Barbara - where we sang and repeated a Metta prayer for her healing and for the healing of us all, for we all do, in fact, need healing in one way or another.
Note: everyone there participated in the making of a book for Barbara that consisted of our on personal pages, personally adorned and generally based on our thoughts about the value of Art in all of Life.  In addition we all dipped brushes into paint and together made a painting to be given to our friend.  A fragment of the large co- opted painting is above.
